LA GRANGE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of a Lenoir County road for maintenance work next week.
Crews will replace the drainage pipe under Firetower Road near East Washington Street in La Grange. The road will be closed in both directions from Feb. 25 through Feb. 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Because the road will be closed, traffic will be detoured onto Washington Street and South Caswell Street. Drivers need to slow down and use extra caution while near the work zone. They should also anticipate needing extra time on these three days.
