NCDOT, Public to Meet This Month Concerning Improvements to Pitt County Road

GREENVILLE - The N.C. Department of Transportation will host a public meeting later this month on the proposal to improve a Pitt County road.

The improvements would be on Charles Boulevard between Fire Tower Road and Worthington Road in Greenville, with added roundabouts being considered. They would improve traffic flow, increase safety and create greater connectivity. The Greenville Municipal Planning Organization submitted the project.

Maps of the proposals and other information is available on the NCDOT public meetings website

The meeting will be on March 19 from 4-7 p.m. at the Pitt County Council on Aging at 4551 County Home Road. The public can drop in any time during the meeting hours to learn more about the proposal, have questions answered and talk with NCDOT representatives. There will not be a formal presentation.

If people are unable to attend the meeting, written comments can be submitted by phone, email or mail through April 2.
