Pipe Replacement Closes Section of Jones Co. Road

WHITE OAK – The N.C. Department of Transportation is looking toward the future of a Jones County road, closing it to replace crosslines pipes starting next week.

White Oak River Road will be closed in both directions for approximately five miles, from the intersection of Pole Pocosin Road heading west toward its dead end. The closure will begin March 19 and is expected to last through April 16.

For about a month, crews will replace crossline pipes for future widening and resurfacing of the road in White Oak.

Drivers should anticipate needing extra time for their commute, as traffic will be detoured onto White Oak River Road in Onslow County.
