KINSTON – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a Lenoir County road for two days next week for construction.
Tower Hill Road, near N.C. 55 East, will be closed in both directions between 8 a.m. April 16 and 4 p.m. April 17. The closure will allow the NCDOT to safely replace a crossline pipe under the road northeast of Kinston.
Traffic will be detoured to N.C. 55, N.C. 11, Cunningham Road and Dunn Road.
Drivers should anticipate needing extra time on these two days and slow down when approaching the work zone.
