GREENSBORO – Replacement of a pipe culvert will require closing a section of N.C. 62 in southeastern Guilford County for several weeks.
The highway will close in both directions just south of the intersection with Ferguson Road at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 22. The project is expected to be complete by June 14.
The culvert has reached the end of its useful life and is being upgraded.
Drivers traveling southwest on N.C. 62 will be detoured to follow Ferguson Road, Garrett Store Road and Alamance Church Road back to the highway. Drivers traveling northwest will follow the same route in reverse order.
Drivers are urged to use caution near the work zone and to plan for extra travel time for the detour.
