GREENVILLE – More than 18 miles of U.S. 264 in Greene and Pitt counties will be resurfaced after the N.C. Department of Transportation awarded a $22.5 million contract in May.
S.T. Wooten Corporation of Wilson will widen shoulders, repave and install new guardrail on the highway from the Wilson County line to Stantonsburg Road in Greenville.
The contractor may begin July 8 and is expected to complete all improvements, except for establishing permanent vegetation, by the fall of 2021.
