Peace Street Ramp onto Capital Boulevard to Close for 90 Days

RALEIGH — Contract crews performing work as part of the Capital Boulevard bridges project will close the Peace Street ramp onto northbound Capital Boulevard on Wednesday night at 11:59 p.m. The ramp will be closed for up to 90 days while the old structure is demolished, and the new ramp is constructed.

A signed detour will lead drivers from Peace Street to Person Street and Wake Forest Road and then onto Automotive Way. Those that use the ramp and Capital Boulevard to access Wade Avenue will want to use Glenwood Avenue instead. Those coming from downtown should use McDowell Street, which turns into Capital Boulevard.

Drivers should allow extra time to navigate the detour and alternate routes for the duration of the closure.
