CLEMMONS – The northbound on-ramp from Peace Haven Road to U.S. 421 will be closing for three weeks starting August 5. The closure is needed so crews can work on a new ramp that is being built to tie in with the new bridge at Peace Haven Road.
It is part of the improvements under way for the future interchange for U.S. 421 with the western leg of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway.
A detour route will send drivers on Peace Haven Road west to Lewisville Clemmons Road, where they should turn right, then get into the right lane to access the ramp onto U.S. 421 North.
Drivers are urged to use caution when near the work zone. They should also anticipate needing extra time for traveling through the area because of the detour.
