GREENSBORO – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews plan to briefly close a lane for a section of U.S. 29 in Guilford County next week.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, contractors will close about a quarter-mile stretch of the right northbound lane of U.S. 29, near Gorrell Street.
The closure will allow the work crew to safely install a new overhead light pole. Work is expected to be completed by 11 a.m.
Drivers should slow down when approaching Gorrell Street and expect slower traffic during this project.
