THOMASVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors plan to close an Interstate 85 onramp in Davidson County Tuesday for overnight construction.
Contract crews will close the ramp from N.C. 109/Randolph Street to I-85 South at 8 p.m. while they perform preservation work on a bridge over the CSX railroad. Construction is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Wednesday.
During this time, traffic will be rerouted to follow I-85 North, Finch Farm Road to return to I-85 South.
Motorists should be advised to use caution while traveling through the area and plan for slight delays.
