CHAPEL HILL – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews plan to close lanes Wednesday along a short span of West Franklin Street where it meets Carrboro’s East Main Street.
The inside lanes and left turn lanes will be closed between Merritt Mill Road and Graham Street while a new median is constructed. Traffic will be maintained in the outside lanes of West Franklin Street.
This work is anticipated to last two weeks and is being done in conjunction with pedestrian access improvements being made between Brewer Lane and Graham Street.
Drivers should slow down and be cautious throughout the work zone.
