VANDALIA – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews plan to close a bridge over Old U.S. 421 in Guilford County for repairs starting Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The bridge on Wiley Lewis Road will be closed in both directions until Oct. 11. During this period, crews will conduct maintenance on the bridge structure and resurface the deck to extend the life of the bridge.
Traffic will be rerouted via Wiley Lewis Road, Pleasant Garden Road and Liberty Road.
Drivers who use this route should plan for delays and remain alert while approaching the work zone.
