SALISBURY – The N.C. Department of Transportation and Blythe Development Co. plan to close a ramp along Interstate 85 to perform concrete slab repairs this week in Rowan County.
The ramp from I-85 North at exit 79 (Spencer/E Spencer) is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4. A dynamic message sign will be in place to alert traffic of the ramp closure and detour.
The signed detour will direct drivers to continue north on I-85 and take exit 81 (Long Ferry Road), turn left to cross the overpass and turn left again onto I-85 South to return to exit 79.
NCDOT reminds motorists to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit.
