KERNERSVILLE – As part of a road extension project in Forsyth County, drivers will have a new way to access roads in eastern Kernersville beginning this week.
On Wednesday morning, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close traffic access to Smith Edwards Road from North Main Street. The contractor will open a new intersection at North Main Street and Macy Grove Road. Traffic will use the new intersection to get to Smith Edwards Road.
This work is part of the continuing construction of the Macy Grove Road Extension Project, which is a 1.7-mile section of roadway from East Mountain Street to N. Main Street.
