THOMASVILLE – Ramps at an Interstate 85 South interchange in Davidson County are scheduled for overnight closures this week.
Weather permitting, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be working to rehabilitate the asphalt shoulders near Lake Road, Exit 102.
To do so, the contractor is planning the following closures:
- The ramp from I-85 South onto Lake Road, Exit 102, from 8 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. A detour will follow I-85 South to U.S. 64 (Exit 96) and then I-85 North to return to Lake Road.
- The ramp from Lake Road onto I-85 South, from 8 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday. Drivers will be detoured to take I-85 North to N.C. 109 (Exit 103) to access I-85 South.
Drivers should slow down and be mindful of crews at work in this area and allow for extra travel time because of the detours.
