RURAL HALL – State transportation contractors are planning several overnight closures of U.S. 52 as part of ongoing work on the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.
The ramp from N.C. 65 to U.S. 52 South and the right lane of U.S. 52 South will be close at 10 p.m. on Dec. 16, Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 and reopen at 6 a.m. the following mornings. Traffic will take N.C. 65 – Exit 118 – and travel through the intersection to get back onto U.S. 52.
The closures are needed for contract crews to safely set girders the last span of girders for the new bridge at the interchange.
Drivers should slow down when approaching Exit 118 and be mindful of the crews throughout the work zone.
