CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring ramp closures through the weekend.
Starting tonight at 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from East Fifth Street to U.S. 74 East and from East Stonewall Street to the inner loop,
The closures will be in place until 6 a.m. Monday, June 15.
All the work is weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
Drivers need to use caution and slow down while going through the work zones and detour routes.
