Sewer Repair Requires Road Closure in Guilford County

HIGH POINT – A sewer line repair project will require closing a section of a High Point road on Saturday.

In order to repair an above ground sewer line, city crews will install a temporary bypass pump operation that will require closing Jackson Lake Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

While the closure will be installed near the utility easements just south Richland Creek, the line being repaired is east of the road and the work will not involve excavating or ground disturbing activities within the state's right of way.

A detour will be in place following Cox Avenue, Baker Road, U.S. 70-29/Business 85 and Kivett Drive. Local traffic will be able to access Jackson Lake Road up to the closure points.

Drivers should be cautious near the work zone and allow for extra travel time during the closure.
