DURHAM — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are set to close one lane of the Durham Freeway (N.C. 147) this week as part of the East End Connector project.
Crews are scheduled to close the inside lane of northbound N.C. 147 between Ellis Road (Exit 8) and Briggs Avenue (Exit 10) from 7 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Sunday.
The closure is required to complete work on the bridge over the CSX railroad near the Briggs Avenue exit.
The work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Drivers should pay attention throughout the work zone and anticipate the closure may cause slight travel delays.
