CHARLOTTE – This week, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a $16.3 million improvement project for a stretch of Interstate 277 that requires several ramp closures.
Starting tonight, crews will close ramps from U.S. 74 West to the outer loop, from the outer loop to U.S. 74 East, from East Fourth Street to the outer loop, from Stonewall Street to the outer loop, and from the outer loop to Kenilworth Avenue. The closures will be in place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., continuing through Friday morning.
Weekend closures are scheduled for ramps from East Stonewall Street to the outer loop and from East Fifth Street to U.S. 74 East. These ramps will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, May 4.
All the work is weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
