GREENSBORO – A Guilford County road is scheduled to close for several days as part of ongoing work on the Greensboro Urban Loop project.
Summit Avenue is set to close in both directions between Hicone Road and Brightwood School Road/Pineneedle Drive from 5 p.m. Thursday until 6 a.m. Monday, May 11. The closure is needed for contract crews to relocate a water line.
Traffic will be detoured to follow Scott, Lees Chapel and Brightwood School roads to access Summit Avenue on either side of the closure.
Drivers should be cautious near the work zone and allow a little extra time for the detour.
