WINSTON-SALEM – State transportation contract crews plan to close lanes along a stretch of U.S. 52 in Forsyth County this week to inspect bridges over the highway.
Weather permitting, crews plan to inspect the bridge that carries Liberty Street over U.S. 52, north of mile marker 110, on Wednesday and the 16th Street bridge over U.S. 52 closer to mile marker 110 on Thursday.
To complete the work safely, crews plan to close an inside lane of U.S. 52 in these areas from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. The closure will begin on the northbound side and finish on the southbound side.
Drivers should slow down and be mindful of the inspection crews working near the roadway at these times and locations.
