CONCORD – As work continues on the
Interstate 85 widening project, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will temporarily close a portion of Winecoff School Road to complete roadwork at Tremont Avenue NW.
The closure will be in place at 9 a.m. Monday, July 13. The road is scheduled to reopen by 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
During the closure, drivers will follow a
detour along Kannapolis Highway, U.S. 29/601 and N.C. 73, returning to Winecoff School Road.
Motorists are encouraged to pay attention when approaching the work zone, obey the posted speed limit, follow posted detours, and allow extra time to reach their destinations safely.
