CHARLOTTE – Starting tonight, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277.
Crews will close ramps from I-77 South and Clarkson Street to the outer loop and from the outer loop to I-77 North and Carson Boulevard from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night through Friday morning.
This weekend, the above closures will be in place along with closing the inbound lanes from Wilkinson Boulevard to the outer loop from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday, July 20.
All the work is weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
