HIGH POINT – A detour is scheduled to be in place for a couple weeks while N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews reconfigure a Guilford County intersection.
Poplar Creek Lane is set to be closed near its junction with Skeet Club Road from 9 a.m. Saturday until 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21. Signed detours will direct local traffic to follow Waterview Road to Hunterwoods Drive or Johnson Street to Glenn Meade Drive to access Poplar Creek Lane and The Gables subdivision.
Drivers should be mindful of the work crews and factor the closure and detours into their commutes.
This work is part of the ongoing project to widen Skeet Club Road to four lanes between Johnson Street and N.C. 68.
