RALEIGH — As part of the Interstate 440 Improvements project, N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are scheduled to close the ramp from Blue Ridge Road to eastbound Wade Avenue on Wednesday night.
The ramp will close from 9:30 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday to allow crews to perform grading work on the new ramp.
A detour will direct drivers west on Wade Avenue to Edwards Mill Road to turn around and get on eastbound Wade Avenue.
This work is weather dependent, and the rain date is planned for the following night.
Motorists should allow extra time to navigate the detour and slow down and pay attention throughout the work zone.
