CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be performing pavement work on a section of Interstate 485 in northeast Charlotte on Sunday night, weather permitting.
The two right lanes will be closed on the outer loop between mile markers 33 and 30 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday. During this time, ramps will also be closed from U.S. 29 to the outer loop and from the outer loop to I-85.
Additional lane and ramp closures will be scheduled over the next several weeks in this area to continue pavement work in advance of striping and installing snow plowable markers.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this location and allow extra time to reach their destination.
