CHARLOTTE – Starting tonight, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring several ramp closures.
At 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from South Boulevard and Kenilworth Avenue to the outer loop, and from the outer loop to Kenilworth Avenue and U.S. 74 West.
Closures will be in place until 6 a.m. Wednesday, continuing each night through Monday morning, Sept. 14.
The ramp from the outer loop to U.S. 74 West will close again from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday.
The closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
