GREENSBORO – Additional ramp closures are planned for this week as part of the ongoing project to improve Interstate 73 in southwest Greensboro.
From midnight to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the ramp from I-85 North to I-73 North (Exit 120B) is scheduled to be closed. A signed detour will direct traffic to follow northbound I-85 to South Elm-Eugene Street (Exit 124) to access I-73 North.
On the same nights and times, the ramp from I-85 Business South to I-73 North is set to close. A signed detour will send drivers to I-85 South to Exit 118 for I-85 Business South and then have them exit onto Vickrey Chapel Road, turn right and follow Guilford College Road and Gate City Boulevard back to I-73 North.
The work and ramp closures are weather dependent.
Drivers should watch out for crews working near the travel lanes in these locations and allow extra time for the detours.
