CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews tonight will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring several ramp closures.
Each night, starting at 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from U.S. 74 West, South Boulevard, Church Street and E. Third Street to the inner loop.
Ramps will also close from the inner loop to I-77 North and E. Fourth Street.
Crews will work in these areas until 6 a.m. Tuesday and each night through Monday morning, October 5.
The closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
