CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews tonight will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring several ramp closures.
Starting at 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from U.S. 74 West, South Boulevard, East Third Street and Church Street to the inner loop. Ramps from the inner loop to I-77 North and East Fourth Street also will close at the same time.
On the outer loop, crews will close ramps to Carson Boulevard and from Clarkson Street at 9 p.m.
Crews will work in these areas 6 a.m. Tuesday and during these hours each night through Monday morning, Oct. 12.
The closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
