WINSTON-SALEM – Part of a Forsyth County road closed Monday morning and is expected to remain closed through Wednesday afternoon.
N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews recently replaced a drainage pipe under Old Rural Hall Road, between Oak Summit and Old Hollow roads. Crews now have the road closed in this area as they work to build a concrete headwall for the pipe.
The closure will remain in place until the headwall is completed, which weather permitting is expected by 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Traffic will use Oak Summit, Germanton and Old Hollow roads as a detour around the closure.
Drivers should me mindful of crews working in this area and plan ahead for the detour.
