HIGH POINT — The public is invited to view project videos and maps and submit comments regarding the N.C. Department of Transportation's proposal to
improve N.C. 68 (Eastchester Drive) in Guilford County.
This project proposes to improve safety and mobility along N.C. 68 between Hickswood Road and Gallimore Dairy Road in High Point by widening the road to six lanes. Two options being considered would use varying amounts of Reduced Conflict Intersection design versus conventional, signalized intersection design.
Due to COVID-19, NCDOT will not host an in-person public meeting for the project. The department has instead developed a series of videos to provide:
- An overview of the project
- Project alternative descriptions
- A visualization about the project area
- A guide to reading project maps
The public can view the project materials and leave comments by accessing the NCDOT public input webpage. People may also submit comments by calling 855-925-2801 and entering project code 4871, or emailing NC68-HighPoint@PublicInput.com by Nov. 23.
