New License Plate Agency to Open in Davidson County

RALEIGH – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will open a new license plate agency (LPA) on Nov. 24 in Davidson County.

The agency will be located at 1650 Liberty Drive in Thomasville in the Liberty Drive Commons Shopping Center.

The LPA will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, except on state holidays. Mary Knight, the current contractor for the High Point LPA, will also be the operator in Thomasville.

The new agency replaces a previous agency in Thomasville that closed in December 2019.

LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags and duplicate registrations. Currently, there are 128 license plate agencies operating across North Carolina. To contact the LPA, call 336-474-6755.

Services such as property tax payments and registration renewals can be completed online
