STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close part of a road in Iredell County for two days this week for a culvert replacement.
Road crews will close South Chipley Ford Road in both directions south of Fort Dobbs Road starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday until 5 p.m. Thursday. This closure will allow workers to safely replace the culvert damaged from flooding caused by the storm earlier this month.
Traffic will be detoured to Wilkesboro Highway (NC-115) and Sullivan Farm Road to access points on either side of the closure.
Motorists are advised to watch for crews working in the area and expect some delays for the detour.
