KERNERSVILLE – Lane closures will be in place along a section of U.S. 421/Salem Parkway while crews work to install new overhead signs Thursday.
One lane of the highway will be closed in each direction between mile markers 226 and 228 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The closures will enable contract crews to safely switch out directional shields on overhead signs that will help drivers navigate the new sections of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway.
Drivers should slow down, anticipate reduced lanes and be mindful of crews working close to the travel lanes along this stretch of Salem Parkway.
