RURAL HALL – The southbound side of U.S. 52 is set to close for three overnight periods next week where crews are working on the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.
Weather permitting, U.S. 52 South will close between Westinghouse Road and N.C. 65 from 11 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights until 5 the next mornings.
During these times, traffic will be detoured to exit and turn left onto Westinghouse Road and then turn right on N.C. 65 to return to U.S. 52 South.
The closures are needed for crews to safely install arch façade panels on the N.C. 65 bridge over the highway.
Drivers should slow down near this work zone and factor the detour into their commute.
