RALEIGH — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are scheduled to close the eastbound Wade Avenue ramp to Interstate 440 West for two nights this weekend.
The ramp will be closed on Saturday and Sunday nights from midnight until 5 a.m. the following day to allow crews to remove the concrete barrier wall from along the left side of the ramp. This work is part of the I-440 Improvements project.
A detour will lead drivers to turn right onto Faircloth and Hillsborough streets to get onto I-440 West.
Motorists should allow extra time to navigate the detour and slow down and pay attention throughout the work zone.
