Forsyth County Road Closes for Emergency Repair

WALKERTOWN – State transportation officials have closed Judge Clement Road in northeastern Forsyth County for the safety of the traveling public.

Increased rains have eroded a stream bank to the point where it is impacting the shoulder of the road and is now unsafe for traffic, leading officials to close the road Thursday morning.

Meanwhile, a signed detour is in place directing traffic to use Pine Hall Road, Sullivantown Road and Main Street in Walkertown to access points on either side of the closure. The road will reopen as soon as the repair can be made.

Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
