CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close outbound lanes on Wilkinson Boulevard under the Freedom Drive overpass tonight and Wednesday night for maintenance work, weather permitting.
The lanes will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. with the following detours in place:
- Drivers on outbound Wilkinson Boulevard will be detoured to I-77 South, West Boulevard and Remount Road, returning to Wilkinson Boulevard.
- From I-77 South, drivers will follow the same detour along West Boulevard and Remount Road back to Wilkinson Boulevard.
- I-77 North traffic will also follow Remount Road to Wilkinson Boulevard.
