​MORRISVILLE – Work that is part of the improvements to the Interstate 40 and Airport Boulevard interchange will require a slow-rolling roadblock on I-40 this afternoon.
At 2 p.m., the slow-rolls will begin for both directions of I-40 between Exit 282 (Page Road) and Exit 287 (Harrison Avenue) to keep motorists a safe distance away during blasting to loosen the rock near the westbound ramp to Airport Boulevard (Exit 284). The roadblocks will last about 15 minutes.
Traffic on Airport Boulevard near the bridge over I-40 will also come to a stop during the blasts.
