​THOMASVILLE – A section of a Davidson County road is set to close for several weeks for repair.
The N.C. Department of Transportation's Bridge Maintenance Unit plans to close Midway School Road between Old Greensboro Road and N.C. 109 at 8 a.m. Monday to begin replacing the crossline pipe under the road.
The work is expected to be complete by mid-May, weather permitting.
Until then, a signed detour will be in place using Old Greensboro Road and N.C. 109 to access points on either side of the closure.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
