DAVIDSON COUNTY – N.C. Department of Transportation Maintenance crews plan to close a road near the Davidson/Montgomery county line next week to replace a culvert under the road.
Badin Lake Road is set to close near N.C. 8/49 at 9 a.m. Monday to install the new 36-inch pipe and repave over it. The work is expected to be complete and the road reopen by Thursday afternoon or earlier, weather permitting.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured along N.C. 49, N.C. 109 and Blaine Road to access points on either side of the work zone.
Drivers should watch for crews working in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
