The $5.3 million project will replace the bridge on U.S. 52 crossing Rocky River from Anson County into Stanly County. Crews will build a new bridge to the east of the existing bridge built in 1923.

No offsite detour will be needed since traffic will be maintained on U.S. 52 during construction. The bridge should be completed by June 2023, with vegetation establishment ongoing through December 2023.
