Traffic Shift Upcoming for N.C. 119 Bypass Project

MEBANE – Contract crews plan to shift traffic into a new pattern next week as part of the N.C. 119 Bypass project in eastern Alamance County.

The shift will move N.C. 119 away from the Mill Creek subdivision entrance at St. Andrews Drive, to the new bypass location to the west.

To conduct the shift, the Saint Andrews Drive entrance to the subdivision is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. June 8 to 5 p.m. June 10, weather permitting. A signed detour will have drivers use Cates Drive and Mrs. White Lane to access points on either side of the closure.

Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and factor the detour into their commutes.
