WELCOME – Sections of a Davidson County road are scheduled to close temporarily next week while N.C. Department of Transportation Maintenance crews replace drainage pipes under the pavement.
Welcome-Arcadia Road is set to close at two points – near Pickett Road from 8 a.m. June 1 to 5 p.m. June 2 and then to the north near Dr. Zimmerman Road from 8 a.m. June 3 to 5 p.m. June 4.
The detour for the first closure will follow Pickett and Lea Meadow roads; the second detour will follow Dr. Zimmerman, Craver and Pickett roads to access points on either side of the work zone.
Drivers are advised to use the signed detour for each closure and allow additional time to travel through this area.
