RALEIGH — N.C. Department of Transportation crews are planning to close the loop from eastbound Wade Avenue onto I-440 East tonight as a part of the Interstate 440 Improvements Project.
From midnight until 5 a.m., the loop will be closed to allow crews to remove the existing guardrail.
Drivers will be detoured to Ridge Road and Lake Boone Trail to access I-440 East.
Motorists need to pay attention near the work zone and anticipate needing extra time for the detour.
