Johnston County Road to be Resurfaced

SELMA – Lane closures are planned along a Johnston County road beginning this weekend to allow crews to resurface it.

Buffalo Road between U.S. 70 and the Wake County line will have one lane closed while contract crews work between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. Crews will have message boards in the area to indicate the specific areas they are paving. The resurfacing project is scheduled to begin this Sunday and will last about four weeks, weather permitting.

Drivers should take the lane closure into account as they plan their commute and give themselves extra time or take another route, if possible. The N.C. Department of Transportation also urges drive to slow down and use caution near the work zone.
