ROCKWELL – A Rowan County road will remain closed for about a month for a culvert replacement.
N.C. Department of Transportation crews closed Barber Road in both directions near Morgan Road last week. The closure will allow crews to replace a drainage pipe that runs under the road. Work is expected to be complete by Sept. 10.
For the duration of the closure, traffic will be detoured to Morgan Road, Stokes Ferry Road, and High Rock Road.
Motorists should use caution and plan for delays due to the detours.
