​RALEIGH - The North Carolina Turnpike Authority is continuing construction of the southern portion of the Complete 540 project, which will extend the Triangle Expressway (Toll N.C. 540) from N.C. 55 Bypass to Interstate 40.
On or about August 25, contractors for the project have scheduled to begin a single lane closure on Jordan Road from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. near the Complete 540 construction site. Contractors for the project have scheduled intermittent road closures for up to thirty (30) minutes at a time from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. in order to set beams for the bridges that will carry N.C. 540 over Jordan Road. Single lane closures and intermittent road closures are also scheduled to occur at the same location on the evening of August 27 into early morning on August 28 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. respectively. Signage will be installed advising travelers of upcoming closures.
Drivers should use caution and slow down while traveling through the work zones and detour routes.
